Hanig's Launches Redesign to Enhance Conversion Rate

Hanig's Footwear has been supplying Chicago shoe shoppers with comfortable and fashionable shoes for over 65 years. They've made a commitment to offering exceptional customer service alongside the assortment of shoes styles they carry. Continuing that commitment to their customers extends beyond their business exchanges, which is why Hanig's came to liQuidprint when they wanted to redesign their website.
The inspiration for the Hanig's site redesign stemmed from a need for a simpler user experience increased sales. liQuidprint stepped in to make some tweaks that ultimately proved successful. First, we altered the navigation route down to two clicks instead of three. Then we made some changes to the top navigation. We eliminated all non-revenue producing items as well as incorporated a mega-menu that lists the various brands and styles offered so that shoppers don't have to scroll through a list to see them. Finally, we moved the blog, "Contact Us", and "Locations" items to the footer area. This allows for visitors to get to their desired destination faster without unnecessary page visits in between.
liQuidprint also included larger product photos and an expanded layout that places greater emphasis on the shoes of each inner page. We added a more distinct call-to-action to the product pages and greyed out any out-of-stock sizes. These measures cause less confusion as well as help shoppers to more easily comprehend what is expected of them.
After data analysis break down through Google Analytics, liQuidprint found statistical proof of Hanig's new skin's success. Conversion rates, time spent on Hanigs.com, and pages viewed per visit all increased while bounce rates decreased. Hanig's clean, simple layout not only benefits their customers by delivering a smooth shopper experience, but it benefits their business goals as well.
