ECommerce has quickly become the buzzword used in the business world, particularly in retail outlets. An increasing number of companies are embracing eCommerce technology to capitalize on an emerging online marketplace, whose rate of growth is nothing short of phenomenal. By facilitating the buying and selling of goods and services in a safe a trusted manner, the Internet has single handedly changed the way your potential customers will locate, compare and purchase goods. DeBrand came to liQuidprint concerned about handling the large increase in orders they receive during the holiday season. So, liQuidprint created a Web based order entry system that simplified Debrand's internal processing. The new system allows the user to quickly look up customer information, make any necessary changes, and process the order immediately (including credit card verification). It then sends a pick ticket with a unique barcode to the warehouse. Once the order has been filled, the packer can easily scan the barcode, instead of manually entering an order number. One of the biggest challenges was shipping, because DeBrand's merchandise is not only delicate but also perishable. The liQuidprint team worked diligently to write a shipping program that would accommodate any type of order regardless of season, destination, or weather. Not to mention the standard issues of size, shape, and weight. The system communicates automatically with UPS WorldShip and there is now no manual effort involved in getting boxes labeled, and in creating a shipping manifest.
Performance Bike, the nation's largest mail order and retail supplier of bicycle parts and accessories, is liQuidprint's most full featured e-commerce site. Originally, Performance just wanted help with making money on the Internet. Our first efforts resulted in increasing the number of daily hits from an average of 500 to an average of 5,000! Next, we concentrated on helping automate their business processes by building a bridge between their AS/400 and their website. You can browse this site for ideas on how to automate the sales/fulfillment process; how to promote and merchandise on the Web; or how to build up a community of online buyers. The folks at Performance now have a website that does all these things and more! Performance Bike targeted coupons
Stock Yards has been around over 100 years providing only the highest quality grades of beef to the country's finest restaurants, steakhouses, resorts and clubs. They were looking for a way to sell their quality meats and seafood to individuals and corporate customers on a routine basis, not just for special occasions. The key was to emphasize the product. Our goal was not to have the visitor say "what a wonderful Web site," but instead "That steak looks sooooooooo delicious!" So, we created an environment where the visitor is tempted to buy Stock Yards' meats, and through the design and function of the new website feel welcomed to do so. The site features cooking resources related to Stock Yards products, and a section where the visitor may purchase corporate gifts. Visitors can also check the status of their recent order, or view past shipments at any time by visiting the Your Account section of the new Stock Yards web site.
