The New Marketplace; F-Commerce

There's always new strategies and techniques to sell
products. The new up-incoming trend is using F-commerce. This is a
company's efforts to sell products via their Facebook fan page.
This not only is an added bonus to product sales outside of the
company's website, but it increases its efforts to support and
cater to their dedicated consumers. Facebook stores put e-commerce
into the consumers lap, without them having to go look for you,
making it easier for the consumer. Once the company's F-commerce
page is live, companies can expect increased online sales, a bigger
Facebook fan base, better measurements of social media ROI (Return
on Investment), and higher ratings and reviews.
F-commerce pages share the same functions as purchasing
products on a company's website. You search through products,
select them for the shopping bag, purchase items, and receive a
confirmation e-mail from the sale. Consumers also have the ability
to add items to a wish-list and share it in their Facebook page for
friends to view and comment on before they complete their online
purchase. Showing consumers that the company can too adapt to their
fast-paced, always on-the-go, social network filled lives, sends
the message that the company will go above and beyond usual
measures to provide the perfect shopping experience.
Procter & Gamble Starts the F-commerce
Trend:
Procter & Gamble already entered the F-commerce world, selling 29 of its top-brands through a 47-page catalogue, from Always to Zest on its F-commerce page. Based from its previous test efforts, pre-selling Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max through its F-commerce page, P&G sold out of its 1,000 pack allotment in less than an hour. This proved that F-commerce was the new way to sell company products and reach a bigger audience outside of who they already connect with through the company site. Pampers is the first P&G top brand to offer Facebook capabilities via its fan page. After much success of the Pampers pre-sale, P&G decided to continue its efforts to sell other products through their Facebook page. P&G now offers other top-brand products to purchase such as Tide, Oral B, Olay, and Pantene on their F-commerce page. Consumers receive free shipping on all orders over $25 and free two-day shipping for members. These efforts are beneficial because it's provided by two of my most trustworthy brands, one being one of the top e-commerce sites.

In with the New: Adopt a F-commerce Page:
Adopting an F-commerce page benefits the company's efforts to target the DTC (Direct-to-Customer) strategy. It provides the opportunity to target both new and loyal consumers in another setting that they may prove to be more comfortable and familiar with outside of the traditional company website. The company can explore and conduct new ways to advertise to consumers. F-commerce pages make it more convenient to conduct new product launches, promote events and live shopping, as well as providing easier ways to interact with consumers through the company Facebook fan page. The pages also add easier access to consumer questions and the opportunity for responses directly from the company to the consumer. Learn more about consumer shopping habits and brand preferences through F-commerce pages using company sale logistics and personal feedback capabilities provided on the Facebook fan-page wall. F-commerce pages prove to be the one-stop shop for the consumer.
Internet marketing isn't a hassle for consumers through these pages either, they want to know what's new with company products. It's easier for them to shop while still enjoying their time spent interacting on social networks. Increase brand loyalty and support while adding revenue to company products by providing a fun and secure shopping atmosphere for your consumers. Considering to allow company products to be sold through the company's Facebook fan page can prove to be a great decision revenue and marketing wise. Contacting a web-development company for help with designing and developing an F-commerce page will prove to be cost-effective and helpful.

Marketing
Great article, thanks! F-commerce is the next step in the e-Commerce evolution! The traffic is there, the brands are there, it was only a matter of time.. A year ago the brands could only promote them self, and use Facebook as a marketing channel, now they can actually increase their sales on a daily basis!
