QR Codes & Real Estate
As we continue migrate down the technological path we're
constantly bombarded with the newest and latest trends, all
promising to make our lives a little bit easier. And if you're like
me we glance over these articles and announcements and put as much
stock into their ideas of grandeur as we would our grocery list.
However, much to my surprise I came across something that was
relatively new and exciting. And I thought to myself, "this could
really make things easier." What was this epiphany and newly
discovered miracle? The QR Code!
It may be at this point you're probably asking yourself, "What is
a QR code?" And more importantly you're probably wondering how QR
codes fit in with real estate. Well, it's good that you asked….well
maybe you didn't ask, so I'll ask that question for you, for the
sake of this blog. A QR code is a very simple black & white
pattern in a box that contains valuable data and information. When
looking at the QR code with the naked eye you won't understand what
you're looking at.
However, when you download a QR code reader to your iPhone or
other Smartphone the codes turn into something much more important.
With the QR code app open, take a snap shot at the QR code and then
let the app do the rest.
QR codes are becoming a very powerful tool in the real estate
industry. For example, if you're listing a property and there's a
ton of information such as photos & other content, with the
advent of the QR code there isn't a need to capture every little
detail. Not only can the QR code showcase the listing
photographs, agent's website, & agent profile, it's great for
describing neighborhood details, & other attractions
within the community. Furthermore, this is a great tool to
implement when producing flyers for those individuals who are
driving by and want more information. Also, it's great for
individuals who attend open houses and want more information on the
property as well. QR codes are just a sampling of the new and
convenient ways technology is making your life easier.

That's way more clever than I was expecting. Thanks!
