Big hit...Put Illinois to Work

We recently chatted with the folks at Heartland Alliance about a project we completed this summer. Put Illinois to Work is an initiative funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. It seeks to match unemployed and underemployed Illinois residents with subsidized employment opportunities. We helped Heartland develop the online application process for employees and employers. One of the challenges was the really tight timeline that we operated under. The site had to be up and running in just 17 days.

Since it's launch the program has been a huge success. Over 27,000 workers were able to find a job and and 4,000 private, not-for-profit and government employers across Illinois successfully added to their workforce through this program (so far!). Click here to learn more about the program.
